Updated Wednesday, 7th October 2020. New Zealand is at Alert Level 1. Auckland joined the rest of New Zealand at Alert Level 1. Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern is encouraging travellers to wear masks on public transport, as well as at stops, terminals and railway stations. “Please also remember to continue the good practices we have learned over recent months: Stay home and get tested if you’re sick, wash your hands frequently, and keep track of your movements with the NZ COVID Tracer app.” See the COVID-19 website for more details. Construction businesses working under Alert Level 1 must follow health and safety protocols and guidance detailed below. These protocols will be regularly updated to reflect Government requirements for businesses.
The New Zealand COVID-19 Construction Protocols provide ‘how to’ guidance which sit below the COVID-19 Standard for New Zealand Construction Operations. These protocols are live documents, which will be kept updated by a working party of health and safety practitioners from across industry and can be adapted on a site by site basis.
