MATES | World Suicide Prevention Day, Friday 10 September

MATES would like to ask kiwis to join them and light a candle in their window at 8pm this Friday, September the 10th to mark World Suicide Prevention Day. World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) provides the opportunity for people across the globe, to raise awareness of suicide and suicide prevention.

World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) provides the opportunity for people across the globe, to raise awareness of suicide and suicide prevention. This would normally be the day MATES would hold the MATES Fly the Flag campaign, but lockdown has meant these plans have changed this year.

This year, Fly the Flag is moving to the 10th November 2021 so MATES can continue with all the planned site activities. However, right now the conversation around suicide prevention and mental health is even more important than ever.
