New Plymouth District Council wins first ever Beacons Awards for their supply chain leadership approach. The project success is due to the collaboration, support and willingness of the supply chain and partners.
The trophy was presented virtually by Hon Poto Williams, Building & Construction Minister to David Langford and Craig Stevenson, live during the Infrastructure New Zealand’s 2021 Building Nations virtual awards ceremony and said “You have thrown down the gauntlet to other clients across the industry to focus on value rather than cost".
Being profiled as a Beacon case study allows companies, agencies and organisations to be a leader in sector transformation, and to take advantage of the Accord Network to support their initiative. Participants need to be willing to operate their project in line with relevant Accord principles, to share details of their activities, and to report the things that worked well and what could be improved.
